2021 turned out to be a phenomenal year for See Your Shadow and we have many people to thank for all the victories we managed to accomplish. We started out the year with our never say never project, the female empowerment anthem, “I Know My Worth”. This was dubbed our never say never project because after switching our focus to Country and Western we said we would never do another dance record, but of course, you should never say never as “I Know My Worth” was released to glowing reviews and received a mention in Music Row Magazine for its innovation. Additionally, the record climbed all the way to Number 2 on the iTunes Pop Chart in South Africa, further solidifying our fan base.

The year 2021 saw See Your Shadow rack up three more Number 1 singles on the iTunes Country Chart in South Africa, the divorce celebration song, “Today I Do Became I Don’t”, the diversity and inclusion anthem “It Starts With Hello”, and our David versus Goliath rocker, “Showdown”. All three cemented See Your Shadow as a force to be reckoned with for the quality of our work increasing our radio and video partners substantially. “Showdown” also landed at Number 25 on the Hot Disc Radio Network’s list of the top indie songs of 2021.

The year 2021 was an award-winning year for See Your Shadow as we were not only recognized for our music ability, but for our ability to tell a story visually. See Your Shadow was selected as alternative gospel group of the year by The International Music Association being recognized for our breakout hit, “I Will Tell Jesus You Said Hello”. The year 2021 also saw See Your Shadow’s “Christmas on Cellblock 9” being named best original Christmas song at Holland’s Red Carpet Awards, as well as being named best music video at the Golden Bird Film Challenge in India.

2021 will indeed go down in the history books for See Your Shadow, but we know we could not have done any of it without the support of our radio partners around the world playing our records, our video partners spinning our videos, all of the hosts of the many shows we have appeared on and of course the fans that support independent music. Look for more great stuff from us in 2022.
