I recently had the opportunity to speak with Lamont Patterson for the broadcast I am Indie (click here to listen to the podcast).  We had a great discussion about African Americans and their place in country music.  With everyone so concerned now about the BLM movement the timing is right for those men and women of color who love country music to strike while the iron is hot.  There is so much opportunity for innovation and to add to the faces of country music and have the genre we love so much be representative of the America we love so much. Country music truly is the music for all people as the stories it tells are the human stories that tie us all together.
